Travis Jones was born and raised in the “Promised Land” (aka Kentucky). He graduated from Kentucky Christian College in 2001 with a degree in Intercultural Studies (Missions) and Bible.
Before coming to Oak Hill as camp manager, Travis served in ministry as a minister in Pennsylvania, a youth minister in Kentucky, and also worked at a homeless shelter in Ohio.
Travis never had the opportunity as a child to go to camp, but has been heavily involved as a camp volunteer for many years as a worship leader, teacher, mission speaker, assistant dean, dean, camp registrar, and camp secretary. He believes in the power of camp ministry and feels like he needs to pinch himself every now and then to remind himself that this is real – he really does get to devote
himself to camp full-time!
He and his beautiful wife, Emilie, have been married since 2002 and have two amazing daughters: Melilla (9) and Lydia (2).
Travis enjoys spending time with his family, working outdoors, reading biographies, watching classic movies, and cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats and the New England Patriots.
Please join us in welcoming Travis to our ministry. You can contact Travis via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by cell at 804-819-9612.
