Dress Code

Oak Hill Camp is excitedly different from other camps not planned for Christian gatherings. Parents and church leaders are asked to point out that only clothes which meet all guidelines should be brought to camp. Even with constantly changing fashions, we can dress like Christians and also be both fashionable and respectable in the spirit of modesty. Campers' dress should not interfere with the orderly operation of camp and camp activities. Decisions regarding the appropriateness of clothing, footwear, and accessories will be made by the dean of women or dean of men or the Camp Manager. The following are general guidelines for dress:

1. Messages on clothing, jewelry, and other personal belongings that relate to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex, and vulgarity are not permitted.
2. Dress or clothing that interferes with the orderly conduct or which attracts excessive attention will not be permitted.
3. Girls:

No spaghetti-strap tops or dresses.
No 2-piece bathing suits.
No short-shorts or mini-skirts.
No halter tops or bare-midriff attire.
No under clothes exposed.
4. Boys:

Shirts must be worn at all times.
No under clothes exposed.
No saggy pants.
5. Shoes must be worn at all times on the campground.
